About us

We have been travelling Australia for the past 25 odd years and have finally decided to put pen to paper and include our recent trips away on this site.

Beginning camping in tents, we then progressed to camper trailers. The first being a Trak Shak, then two different models of Kimberley Kamper. After camping in rain for a two week period we then decided there must be something easier than canvas. So we had Trackmaster build us a 14′ single axle off-road van.

After 3 years we decided on a Bushtracker, these being built on the Sunshine Coast. So, we are now the very proud owners of a 19′ custom built van that we picked up in December 2008.

Our 19′ Bushtracker van is fully self contained and includes the following options that allow us to travel and camp away from caravan parks:  4 x 125w solar panels, 4 x GRT AGM 100a/hr maintenance free batteries, 4 x 90 litre water tanks, Dometic diesel heater, 190 litre fridge/freezer. All these options including the 24″ LED TV and fully automatic Autosat satellite dish mounted on the roof use 12 volt power generated by the van. We also carry a Honda eu20i generator as backup in case we have extended periods of rain or need it to run our air conditioner on hot days or run our water sterilisation system. This unit has double filtration canisters to .2 micron which then passes through a quartz tube with 2600 – 2700 angstrom UV.

Suspension is simplicity tandem axle rated at 4000kg’s with larger bearing’s and axle’s for extended life.
