Monday 5th March:
It feels like a lifetime ago that we ordered our canopy, but in reality, it was only the 22nd of December 2011. The tray has now been removed, and the ute looks bare without it.
Tuesday 6th March:
We drove to Warwick today, booked into a motel, and then dropped the ute at the factory so they could start early at 06:00 on Wednesday morning. The forty-three-kilometre drive from Woodenbong to Legume is a real ball-tearer without any weight in the back, and with 600 kilos of suspension, our brains were bruised by the time we reached Warwick.

Cool, it is looking really great. And yes, I am now a follower. Cheers Jan
ReplyDeleteLooks excellent Ross.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a shame to get dust on it.
Well done.
looks great Ross, the rear drawer is an excellent idea, looks to be sealed ? it will need to be.
ReplyDeleteHow are the spare wheels attached? i see the bolt on section, is it reinforced inside? with Ally or Steel?
Now go get it dirty :-)
Mick,
ReplyDeleteYes the rear drawer is sealed from both dust and water and houses high lift jack, recovery gear, axe and long handled shovel. It's very convenient.
Originally told that the spare wheel mounts were lockable but that was not the case so I mirror reversed the mounts and now have them on the inside of the canopy. It works really well. I also installed rubber mounts on the rear of the canopy so there is now a gap between rubber and canopy.
Loved your latest Ningaloo photos.
